How to Choose Rolling Tobacco: Raw vs Drum vs Lucky Strike

Quick answer

Choose Raw Green Tobacco for an unprocessed, natural flavor; Drum Bright Blue for a light, mellow smoke; and Lucky Strike Tobacco for a bold, refined taste.

How to choose your rolling tobacco

1. Identify your preferred flavor strength: Decide if you want a light, medium, or bold smoke. Drum Bright Blue is light and mellow, Raw Green is medium and natural, Lucky Strike is bold and rich. Checkpoint: If you're new to rolling, start with a lighter tobacco like Drum to avoid overwhelming your palate.
2. Consider the burn and roll consistency: Drum Bright Blue is known for a consistent burn and smooth smoke. Raw Green offers a natural, even burn. Lucky Strike provides a steady, satisfying session. Common mistake: A tobacco that burns unevenly can cause relighting. Always test a small amount first.
3. Match the tobacco to your rolling skill level: Drum Bright Blue is forgiving and easy to roll due to its fine cut. Raw Green requires a bit more technique. Lucky Strike is straightforward for experienced rollers. Checkpoint: Beginners should choose Drum for easier rolling; experienced smokers may enjoy the character of Raw Green or Lucky Strike.
