A straight-talking FAQ on Captain Black ST Gold cigarettes: golden Cavendish flavor, 3 mg tar strength, carton packing, and who this mild smoke actually suits.
Quick answer
Captain Black ST Gold is a very mild, smooth cigarette built on Golden Cavendish tobacco, with 3 mg tar and 0.3 mg nicotine per stick. It suits beginners and anyone who wants a gentle morning smoke rather than a strong hit.
Why the Cavendish base changes the experience
Golden Cavendish is the only tobacco listed for this blend, and that single-leaf focus is what gives the cigarette its bright, golden appearance and traditional, balanced taste. Cavendish-style tobacco is typically processed for smoothness, so the draw feels soft rather than sharp or peppery.
That smoothness is the main trade-off: if you normally reach for a full-bodied smoke with a heavy finish, this will likely feel too light. It is a deliberate mild profile, not a diluted version of a stronger cigarette.
Where the 3 mg tar figure fits
The published tar rating is 3 mg and nicotine is 0.3 mg. Those are low numbers, which match the very mild taste the manufacturer describes. Use them as a relative guide when comparing against your usual pack, not as a promise about how the cigarette will feel to you.
Because the catalog does not list other specifications such as cigarette length or filter type, treat those as unknowns rather than assumptions. If those details matter to you, check the physical pack before committing to a full carton.
Common questions about Captain Black ST Gold
- What does Captain Black ST Gold taste like?
- The blend uses Golden Cavendish tobacco and is described as very mild, smooth, balanced, and traditional-tasting. Expect a soft, gentle smoke rather than a bold or spicy one.
- How strong are these cigarettes?
- The catalog lists 3 mg tar and 0.3 mg nicotine per stick. That places them at the mild end of the scale, consistent with the smooth flavor profile. If you are used to higher tar and nicotine numbers, this will feel noticeably lighter.
- How many cigarettes come in a pack or carton?
- A single pack contains 20 sticks. A full carton contains 10 packs, or 200 sticks.
- Who is this cigarette best for?
- It is a good match for beginners, occasional smokers, or anyone who prefers a mild morning cigarette. It is less suitable for smokers who want a strong, full-bodied experience.
- Should I buy a carton straight away?
- Start with a single pack if you have not tried the blend. The carton is only a good deal once you know the mild Cavendish taste fits what you want from a daily smoke. The catalog does not list cigarette length or filter type, so confirm those on the pack if they affect your choice.
